Artist Statement

México Mágico: Land of Heritage, Color, and Culture was created in order to show my love for Mexico and its culture. It also is a way to expand on my previous projects that involved photographing animals, and architecture. This book is dedicated to my family (The Luviano family). My relatives helped me create this project by taking me to the places presented in the book, and by teaching me about their culture and lifestyle. This is a visually and culturally rich exploration that transcends mere documentation. Each page of this book unveils the vibrant colors of Mexico's diverse landscapes from a big metropolitan city to a small town, to include colorful traditions, and the warmth of its people. From the bustling markets and historic architecture to the serene beauty of natural wonders, this book encapsulates the essence of Mexico. I hope to invite viewers to immerse themselves in the captivating stories told by each photograph. This is not just a photography book; it is a celebration of Mexico's multifaceted identity, and of my identity and background, which I have tried to incorporate in my photography journey. This is an invitation to experience Mexicos beauty and complexity in every captivating shot.
